Now more than ever, we all need to focus on moving forward and not letting stress take over. I tell myself to do things little by little instead of trying to do everything at once. If you’re feeling the pressure right now, here are a few things you can tell yourself when you are feeling a bit like things are out of your control.

3 Affirmations for Self-Care

1. I am here now.

Instead of focusing on what I can’t control, I’m going to focus on what I can control, which is just me!

2. I accept my current situation.

I have to accept my current situation. I can’t complain about it and hope it’s going to go away. My choices are to accept it or change something about it.

3. I am excited for myself.

If I find myself nervous or anxious about something, I’m going to channel it into excitement instead. Even though sometimes the feeling of anxiety, nervousness and excitement can feel very similar, I am, grateful for the opportunities that are coming.

Remember you can always ask for help, whether it’s getting others to help you with your workload or simply for some moral support. Don’t get lost in your own to-do list – and think of it as a To Be list. How do you want to-be?

We are living in a time of self-care. There has a been a huge shift from the work, work, work mode to an attention on relaxation and setting boundaries. Luckily, people have realized that we are destroying ourselves from lack of selfcare and they want to change this!

I believe that having daily practices and a good mindset is the key to well-being. It’s about creating a lifestyle that keeps your stress level to a minimum.

Self-care is making a decision to build a life that you absolutely love living. It’s about what you do on a daily basis that gets you to your dream life.

Here are a a few ways to implement self-care as a part of your daily routine.

5 Ways To Implement Self-Care Daily

1. Feeling Confident to Say No

When we say yes too many times, we end up doing what other people want us to do instead of what we want to do. Putting your needs first is hard to do because you might feel you are being selfish, but you know the saying about putting your own oxygen mask on first, well it’s true. How can you help anyone else if you haven’t helped yourself first?

2. Identify What is Important

First you have to define what’s actually important to you, then it is easier to focus on doing what matters to you. Maybe you are focusing on things that aren’t productive and then you run out of time, but really you might be making excuses. But once you have defined what’s really important in your life, you will be able to actually schedule self-care in
your day.

3. Sometimes It’s Very Basic

Ask yourself if you’ve had enough sleep, or if you’ve been eating a well balanced diet or if you have been moving your body or getting into nature. You will know if you need to improve in these areas.

4. Your Action Doesn’t Have to be Perfect – Done is Better than Perfect.

When we try to wait until something is perfect, we can cause ourselves more stress. It’s better to get started and know that done is better than perfect. Push yourself to try something new as many days in the week as possible. Moving one step everyday moves you closer to your dream life.

5. Embrace and Pay Attention to Your Intuition

Our intuition is a gift. Start by noticing what you are noticing. Get to know your intuition like you would your best friend, or the love of your life. Get interested in it. The more you are interested in someone, the more you recognize their voice. It’s the same thing with the voice or the feel of your own intuition. It will help guide you, if you pay attention.

I hope this will help you create more balance in your life.
