On March 10th, Women of Toledo hosted their 9th Annual International Women’s Day Luncheon at the Glass City Center. They welcomed almost 400 guests into the ballroom, each fueling the luncheon with incredible insights, dialogues, and company that made the forum unforgettable. From community members to city officials, a variety of Northwest Ohio came together to engage in how caregiving, culture, and community fundamentally shape the opportunities for families, policies, and the health of the region as a whole. The forum centered on a critical question: How can we redesign our systems to better support working caregivers and the realities of today’s workforce? Paula Birney, Owner of Arista Home Care Solutions offers insight from the perspective of providing home care and employing over 60 caregivers and other licensed health care providers.
