Arista Home Care Solutions is proud to announce that owner, Paula A. Birney, CMA, CDP has successfully met the requirements of the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) and is now a Certified Dementia Practitioner®.
The Council was formed to promote the standards of excellence in dementia education to professionals and other caregivers who provide services to dementia clients. The number of cases of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias continue to increase both nationally and worldwide. The goal of the NCCDP is to develop and encourage comprehensive standards of excellence in direct-care skills, education, and sensitivity in the area of dementia care. It is evident by the representation of her experience, and by the educational programs she has completed, that she shares the same professional goals.
Paula hopes to bring her training and experience to her clients and employees to insure that caregivers and families are well trained to provide appropriate, competent, sensitive direct care and support for the dementia patient.
The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners®, LLC was formed in 2001 by a group of professionals with varying work and personal experiences in the field of dementia care.
